Established in
April 2000, Shunde Home Appliance Chamber of Commerce is an independent
local corporate industrial association, comprising home appliances manufacturers,
distributors, raw material suppliers. Now, its members about ninety dominating
home appliances manufacturers, distributors and raw material suppliers,
such as Midea, Kelon, Galanz, Vanward, SMC, Guangda, Huada, Xiongfeng, Kangbao,
Eternal, Whirlpool, Rongsheng, Haier, Shenzhou and Heygey etc.
In 2001, the GDP of Shunde is RMB 39.1 billion Yuan, while the total production
value of industry is RMB 89 billion Yuan, among which the production value
of home appliance industry makes up to 50% and shares 10% of the appliance
industry in China. As the leading industry of Shunde local economy, home
appliance industry here is famous for its large scale, wide varieties and
famous brands. Nowadays, Shunde is the largest home appliances production
base in China, including refrigerator, air-conditioner, microwave oven,
electric rice cooker, electric fan, disinfected cupboard and etc. Five national
name brands emerged in Shunde, they are Midea, Kelon, Macro, Galanz and
Ronshen.
In recent years, there appeared some problems in home appliances industry
of the city, such as imbalance in different enterprises, out-of-order competition,
not-fully-played industry benefit, poor communication between enterprises
and the government etc. Therefore, personalities of various circles of the
city called on to set up a chamber of commerce for home appliances industry.
To promote further development of Shunde home appliances industry, adapt
to new trade management and speed up the meeting with international practice,
with support of the government and all walks of life, Shunde Economy and
Trade Bureau, along with Guangdong Midea Holding Co.,Ltd., Guangdong Kelon
Electrical Holding Co.,Ltd., Shunde Sien Hua Electric Manufacturing (Group)
Co.,Ltd., Guangdong Macro Gas Appliance Co., Ltd., Guangdong Galanz Enterprises
(Group) Co., as sponsor units, originated Shunde Home Appliance Chamber
of Commerce.
We are fully convinced that with support of local government and friends
at home and abroad, through common efforts of all member enterprises, Shunde
Home Appliance Chamber of Commerce will continuously strive to be a world-famous
